I took lots of pictures. I'll post some here when we get power back on (2 days and counting). Thank goodness for battery powered notebooks 'eh?
We had a great time. I loved driving the '64 down to Ashville and back. Dawn (wife) followed me down in the caravan with the '99 996. While she was driving the car it had a stuck thermostat which in turn over pressurized the cooling system and cracked the overflow tank. That's the long way of saying, it started to leak like hell. Luckily for us it was in Ashville, and while we dropped into a resteraunt to get a bite to eat. Another bit of luck was all the Porsche people with trailors. A good friend Phil Hartman was kind enough to offer his trailor, which he vacated of it's '59 Conv't D to make room. Phil and I drove back in our 356's while the girls drove back towing the 996.
Had a great time however. I heard ALL the jokes let me tell ya, the aircooled motorheads sure got a good laugh at my expense over that one.
