Couldn't be front wheel drive or the suspension would be backwards. I think the torque tube is way too short for the engine to be in front of the driver--even if above the suspension, look how little space between the wheels and the back of the engine... Strange.
Maybe it's a
telescoping torque tube (there's a lip on it), and this is the "transport mode" - just pull out before installing in car
