Frustrating he held you up so much in the corners, but could walk away on the straights. FWIW, I would have expected the 914 to be able to outhandle your car as well. To me, he wasn't driving it as well as you were driving your Bimmer.

I had a similar situation some years back where a 911 (can't remember which Class) was new to Summit Point, and drove like crap in the corners. Somehow, he and I ended up with almost identical quali times, so gridded next to each other. After the first lap, he had at least 8 car lengths on me by T1, but I had caught him by T4. Then had to follow around, because he wouldn't let me pass, until T9. He'd pull 2 car lengths on my T10, but by trackout I was on his butt again. Then he'd pull another 8 car lengths by T1. Fortunately, he finally started learning the track by Sunday's last race, at which point I didn't have to mess with him anymore.
