Like others have said, the majority of the cost is in the prep work. I can do the same quality paint job over two different prep jobs and there would be a noticable difference in the end. I'm sure you've seen glossy paint over top of ripples and sand scratches. The more of that you can do, the closer you will get to a nice paint job for 3K. Yes I could, and have done many paint jobs for 3k and less when the other work was done by the owner. I'm always willing to answer questions and give guidance whenever you need.
