Shows you that a little info is worse than none. I like to set the bung stand off so the sensor threads don't protrude into the tube. After drilling the hole if the sensor hits the tube rim a little you can run a tap to clear the path. This ends up with less of a gap that seems to build up carbon and help jam the sensor in the bung. This also lets you weld bungs in places you might want to use later while building a pipe up and only need to drill it out if needed.
