Well...... I'd love to have one of those, but for car stuff I've done pretty good stuff with my gun for decades of typical wiring applications.

The guns heat (and cool) quickly which is great when you have just a few connections to do.

If I was going to spend all day at a bench, I'd want a good iron.

I use very THIN solder and melt just a tiny bit on the tip and then touch the wire to help transfer the heat. It only takes a few seconds to get the wire hot enough to get more solder to flow.

Just like a Tig, you can pulse the trigger to help control heat and mine has a little light on the end to help light up what your doing.
