Update:
TR and I picked the car up from Piper Motorsport yesterday and drove it to Richmond for the body work. We've decided (with encouragement from TR) to use the quick-release attachments for the fenders. It won't help with the initial work - about as much work as welding them on - but if I bang them up, it will make fixing/replacing them much easier, and might, just might, limit damage to the rest of the tub.
The cage is wonderful, and Mitch and his guys were able to put Nascar door bars in and still allow me to raise and lower the driver's window for trips to the track. They also remounted the driver's seat, and I'm so low that I joked about need a phone book to sit on (but it's just a joke, because I'm probably still closer to the roof than most).
So now I have a straight frame and a great cage, and in a few weeks will have a completed sunroof delete, fixed rear fenders, and fresh paint.
I sourced a rear FG bumper after returning home last night (Thanks, Dave), and also a front oil cooler (thanks, Kurt), and now need a front fiberglass bumper (if someone has one, chime up, otherwise I may be forced to buy new) and need to put everything together. Rear sway mounts are toast, and my source for WeVo's can't find his, so if anybody has a pair of THOSE laying around, also let me know. For some reason, my wife doesn't want to give me car stuff for the holidays...I'm hoping Ben will give me a transmission rebuild and LSD, though
