I would not go to a funeral or hospital and make such jokes, but this is not a funeral parlor or hospital. Some situations require a different level of decorum than others. I read the culture of this site to be one where topics other than race, religion, politics, and porn are open. Some find it a welcome break from the tight rules of political correctness. If you find it offensive, be offended and vocal about it. It serves to further entertain those that enjoy the irreverent humor around here. Everyone will die of something. Being offended by jokes about death will not lengthen anyone's life. Being offended rarely does anything positive.
