Road feel / steering feel is great in a 914. Turn in is crisp and immediate, especially with new components. Roadholding is excellent. I've spent a small fortune to make my 911 handle as well as my 914 did

While they did build many, it seems most have rusted away and others have been turned into race cars due to their inherant design advantages.

Also remember that because of their original price, many simply got abused. Combined with a lack of true pedigree by Porsche fans (they did come from an aborted VW project afterall, plus they weren't rear engined blah blah) and now their age (between 30-35 years old!) and its obvious why there aren't many seen out and about.

Nothing nicer than a summer evening drive, roof off, radio off, cruising through (then rural) Montgomery county back roads... ahhh. (Where is this 914? )
