After Hawk Blue, its going to be a step back. They are great pads. They have a metallic content in the compound, which is what causes the nasty dust. Its a small price to pay for their terrific intial bite and durability.
The Kool Karbons from Der Six [pano ads] are a great dual use pad. Others have had good results with Performance Friction and Ferodo. I've used Ferodo pads on the rear of the 951, but have no experience with them on the 911.
