Default Torque and the HF Torque Wrenches

I bought this big HF torque wrench a few months ago because I needed something to torque my lug nuts. I torqued them 5ft-lbs too low and when Jim and David R took off my back wheels they said there wasn't a lot of torque on them.

On a 90-95ft-lb bolt, would you really notice that much? Maybe they we're really under torqued...

My big concern is that I'm doing a clutch job and certainly don't want to foul up all the expensive (not that wheels aren't) internal parts by getting an incorrect setting. My other two t-wrenchs are Craftsman, so I feel a better about them, but am on the fence on this big one. Eric D told me once that someone tested the HF t-wrenchs and found them to be in spec.

Thoughts?
