More Details:

What’s better than an event that fuses seeing historic aircraft in a museum and driving your Porsche? An event that includes seeing historic aircraft in action and driving your Porsche!! Porsches at the Festival of Freedom Air Show is such an event. The Festival of Freedom Air Show features World War 2 aircraft from the famed "Wings of Freedom” squadron (formally known as the Confederate Air Force) and includes famed aircraft such as a B-25 Mitchell, a B-24 Liberator, a B-17 Flying Fortress, a P-51 Mustang, a British Spitfire and much more. In addition, the show features a display of WW2 tanks and other hardware. To make the day run smoother, our club has arranged private parking at the Air Show where we will be hosting a “dirty” Concours. There will be 25+ aircraft participating. Personalized tours through the bombers will be provided. Where else can you witness the sounds and beauty of such aircraft in action?

We'll begin the day by exercising our Porsches through the backroads of VA (the drive will be about 75 miles) leading to the Air Show, then do another drive leaving the show to have lunch at Redcreek Grill in Centreville, VA. Redcreek Grill was nice enough to give us a private area for lunch and reserved parking. Plus, we will be watching a Porsche movie over lunch. Registration Fee is $10 per car, then pay as you go. (The $10 goes to providing more events and is paid the day of the event.) Hope to see you there. If you have any question, call Kevin Sims at 703 830-4285 or email him at porsche_driving_club@yahoo.com
