Default New to the forum and fairly new to Porsches

I have been a BMW CCA member for about 11 years. In that time I have done some Autocross then moved to track events. I graduated from the BMW CCA NCC and NJ instructor training programs about 7 years ago. I have since instructed for BMW, Corvette, Mini, Ferrari, Audi, Hyperfest, and BSR events end enjoyed the people in each of those groups. I am really looking forward to making a new bunch of friends at Porsche events. I started driving events with a BMW 318ti (the little hatchback), upgraded to a 1997 M3, and recently added my 86 Carrera and joined the Potomac PCA. My 1st event with that group is the upcoming Jefferson DC. I have only 3 track days under my belt in my Porsche, so I have a bit to learn to get to its limits. I have been having a great time learning about the limits though

Here is a shot of the "Baron" on the Summit skidpad while I was giving some demonstration laps at a Corvette event.
I look forward to getting lots of advice on enjoying my new toy. Moving to this car has felt like falling in love with the sport of driving all over again.

OK, my name is Bob and Glen Arm is just north of Baltimore by Loch Raven Dam.
As for the engine drop, let me build my garage with lift (I am getting builder proposals now) and work to find the limits of what I have now first.
