2 post works for storage too. Asymmetrical makes getting the doors open easier. Prices vary but top-of-line, 9K lbs commercial lifts run less that $3,500 installed. Don’t forget to plan on reinforcing your floor, most residence garage floors don’t meet minimum thicknesses, so plan & shop accordingly.
I’ve actually been thinking about getting another lift for outside the garage. And no I don’t care what the neighbors think, they lost their whining rights when they told me no tall fence, then planted bamboo across the back of their property. I really hate bamboo
