The call was made not to sweep the mud off the track by our pit out/ stewards. To sweep would have lost at least 10-15 minutes track time. Would you want this taken off the offending run group. We had a lot of gravel left on the track at T1 in red group when the Blue beast plowed in to the gravel. Luckily most of it was off line. At Club Race we have enough corner workers and the ability to clean up fairly quickly with minimal track time lost. Unfortunately with S.P. s flaggers, most not very experienced, probably don't have a broom between them and not all corners are manned. The gravel did destroy one red run group windshield but that was thrown up at pit out by the car that went into the gravel. Moral of the story, blame the guy who went off and made the mess or has to be towed in for loosing track time.
