Damn, got Porsche wood... Thanks for the pix on the added plates and the links to the RSR clones.
I was going to reinforce the rear strut area pictured as it is not even fully welded now. They are adding metal as well. Looks easy to do and will incorporate that in. I was also going to fully TiG weld the tops of the towers, caps and the brace root and add triangulation in this area. The brace root is not wel welded in now and i can see how it would fail if it was used to hold up the rear end as in a coil over setup.
Picked up 4X8 sheet for the front firewall a second boxed trough that will run front to back and carry the oil lines and all the little things that need filling or boxing. also got some heaver stock for layover reinforcment. Am looking at ways to incorporate the oil line tunnel in a way that adds stiffness to ether the rocker or center tunnel to pay for the added weight. I am inclosing all lines that carry fluids through the drivers compartment and keeping oil and gas apart. Don't want to heat the fuel lines. (gas will run in original tunnel as it will be fully inclosed)
Now I just need time. Am on semi permanent kid duty for a while
