Another option no one seems to ever mention (probably for good reasons I'm not aware of) is to use a SCUBA air tank.
It costs more to buy, but they hold 2000lbs of pressure and the air is filtered if you fill them at a SCUBA shop (no water). I would think a tank would get you through several tire inflations before a refill was needed.
For me it would be a freebie since I have all the gear, but I think you could get away with a cheap tank and a cheap first stage. You'd need to make D*MN sure not to ever drop it and break off the first stage or it would turn into a missile with deadly force...but people use them world wide in boats and on rocky shores with few issues.
