When it rains it pours! I'm in the process of reassembly. I got the crank and rods assembled today. I'll put the case halves together this week. My goal is to turn the key and hear the pipes by the end of April.
On March 15th my wife broke her leg skiing in Wintergreen. She surprised me with a weekend of spring skiing for our 5th anniversary. We got there Friday night and she fell hard on Saturday after lunch. She had a tibial plateau fracture of her right knee with ACL damage. She had reconstructive surgery last Wednesday and things went fine. She'll be in a brace and on crutches for 6 weeks.
Now here's the fun part. I have been taking care of our 2 year old son and her for the past three weeks and will continue for the next 6. I'm exhausted! To throw a little fuel on the fire, the night we got to Wintergreen we found out she is expecting. She'll be due on the 17th of November.
Now ask me how hard it is to find an anestheseologist (sp) and an orthopedic surgeon who is willing to operate on a woman who is 7 weeks pregnant. We finally found a doctor who had done many proceedures on expecting mothers.
So long story short. I've out of sight because I've been playing mom, cook, maid, physical therapist, taxi driver and mechanic when time permits. I do miss shooting my mouth off with you all. However, I do have someone covering for me for Hershey, so I'll be in the caravan.
