When I did my rebuild last summer I found Vertex sold OEM rockers for about 22 bucks with new bushings.
I think it was worth not having to deal with getting someone to rebush and face the old ones. I might have some of the old ones if you want.
The intresting thing is that the new ones were a lighter design. I found out that it was intetional change to protect the pistons nd valves should they come in contact on an overrev. A broken rocker is better than a catastrophe of a valve head breaking off or piston dammage.

BTW my pistons did have marks in them from the intakes. I replaced all the springs. I retarded the timing a bit to get extra clearance.

I have a theory that this may be one reason the Euro valve timing is retarded. Maybe the higher compression 9.8:1 is acheived by allowing the top of the piston to get closer to the dome. Stroke is the same. So the piston must be different.

Can anyone confirm this? I have been looking to see the 2 pistons side by side.
