Those switches go bad all the time. I've gone through at least 4 sets. I wonder if track use and repeated high pressure cycles in the braking system has anything to do with it?

Not sure what connectors Porsche is using in the 996 fuse box, but you typically need to get a set of terminal extractors to push in the little clips that are holding the terminals into the box....
