I'd let it soak with your choice of lube/penetrating oil then let it soak some more. Be real careful with heat, obviously. Good time to have a wet towel and fire extinguisher handy. Share a pick?

Craw under the dash with a flashlight and check the pedal bushing, common wear point. Operate the pedal and make sure it pivots on the bushing, not moves your ~3/8" fo and aft.

I'm the outcast I guess. Steel trailer is cheap(er) and works. No issues with the 'fancy' trailers but similarly, nothing wrong with a steel. Lights, brakes, extended ramps, a couple d-rings......
