I just installed one into my '87 coupe and it fits very well. I actually got the full 6-point cage....

Did you remove the shaft that the clutch release fork pivots on? It's acessible from the driver's side of the transmission. I think it's a 10mm bolt that has to come out, then the shaft will slide...

I think it's probably a good idea to get the low friction mounts. I installed polybronze in the front last winter and it was real important to get everything aligned nicely or else the control arms...
