Looking for a Banjo

1 Attachment(s)
I am in the process of rehabing my power steering lines and need a little advice. One of the 19mm banjo fitting needs to be replaced, but I can't find a replacement. After visiting a pair of "Hose Shops" I'm a little concerned about availabity.

I'm also looking for a local shop that can braze the new fitting and replace the hose portion. One of the shops wanted $35/fitting, which didn't include replacing the hose. The OEM is $200

Thanks

That is the high pressure line from pump to rack. I believe that the pressure peaks, at steering limit, at 5000psi. If a swaged line or brazed fitting fails on the road---no steering and hot cat gets doused with ps fluid. Can I bring the hot dogs?
Any shop that touches that doesn't know the L-word.

I hate to be a wet blanket, but why not spend the $200 and be safe. That line is under pressure and the last thing you want is a failure in the middle of an exit ramp. Especially when you are in the process of ‘crushing’ the ramp. Imagine trying to recover from a potential spin w/o the advantage of power steering if your not used to driving w/o it in the first place.

Also, in order to be effective and safe, the fittings should be pressed on with a special clamp that puts that fancy crimp in it.
