Hershey aftermath

It is done, over, fini for this year. The weather cooperated and except for a steady fog that left everything wet, we had no rain. In fact toward the afternoon it warmed up, the sun pretended to peek through the clouds and it was fun. It was almost a disaster. It seems when I registered in January I was the first and they had no record of me. A few emails and calls and everything worked out OK. A big thanks to kiethmckenney and his pop top. It made all the difference and without it we would not have near the fun. Pari brought a sign (if you can call it that) but it was better than nothing. A steady stream of people came by, many just pausing to shoot the $hit. Except for a small misunderstanding on the value of a few Items I sold for someone, I think it was a general success but, buyers were down and a number of things I thought would sell, did not. Some stuff sold that I never thought in my right mind would go. I sold 4 old beat up CV's that I removed plus some other trash (others treasures) and some usable stuff. Everybody pitched in and helped and let me walk around. Should we do it again??

Damn, somebody post the picture from the gallery for me. This process seems beyond an old mans comprehension.

Thanks for putting everything together! Next year I will bring up some of my 'junk' to sell.

Thanks for allowing me to sell some stuff from the Dorki spot. I was very happy to have solde my wheels and get a decent price too! We came with a few items and sold them all!

Couldn't find anything worth buying except for some T-shirts....

It was good to see everyone again.

Yes in deed, we definately dodged a bullet with the weather.

Hope everyone else came home with some goodies as well :D

Thanks John for getting the space worked out, and letting me put my rims out for sale. I'll give you a ring about stopping by for the parts you drove home for me, which was very generous of you! :D

Thanks again.

John, thanks so much for setting this up and tending to the parts all day. I didn't find anything I was looking for. At least for less than I could get it on the web for. This will have been my 5th year at Hershey. It's been going down hill since I've been going. Flee-Bay has killed the swap meet. Very unfortunate. Unless the weather is stellar next year, I may bag it.

I agree with Ted that the swap meets at Hershey are going down hill. I got some retail Vendor stuff that I could have ordered online, and some posters. None of which were the used parts that I intended on buying. Damn fleabay! :x :x :x :x :x :x :x
