door buzzer
how do you get to it & turn it off
:?: |
There is a relay in the trunk that you can pull out and it will quit working. It must be really annoying since this is like the only mod my previous owner did. :)
Someone will chime in as to exactly where in the trunk it is. |

It is really in the trunk in the SCs?
In my 85, the offending buzz box was behind the instrument panel. removal was easy. Pop the oil gauge out, reach in, open door, feel around until you find the buzzer, pop it out. 10 minutes max. Need an SC guy to confirm the location - no time to go check Pet for you right now..... |
Yes, there is a rectangular relay in the front trunk between the Master Cylinder and the heater hoses. Leave the door open, go to the front trunk and remove the relay, the buzzing should go away.

thank you all ,
didn't think to look in trunk |
Sorry to temporarially hijack. I was actually going to ask how to get my buzzer to work. I assume the opposite of what Tony K said as the first step.

I learn something everyday. Buzzer in the SC? Huh.
|
Is that buzzer something I would have in my 1980SC?
I have no buzzing sound and my overhead light does NOT come on (regardless of switch setting) when either door is opened. |
