David, is there something you would like to tell the class??

If it IS you birthday today, you share a birthdate with my son who turns 16 today. He was born in '89, which is a year in which my damn fine 951 was born. Coincidence? I think not.

Happy birthday Dave, just in case the rumor is correct.
Now, the class would like to hear what nice new toys Mrs Riley bought you for your birthday. We all like to feel a little envy now and then.

It is my B-day and like I said I now have classic status! I share birthdays with your son and mine! My son’s was in ’77 and mine was in the era now referred to as “classic”.

LR is a class act and as always was her usual generous self buying me a new air compressor (early B-day), a full set of bore gages and whole mess of new cloths for my new job that I also started today! She continues putting pressure on me to spend the big bucks for the NOS 931 header from Porsche for my accursed 931 track car project.

The new job should be interesting, though it can swing either way between “knight errant” or “court jester” :P

I don’t know 16 and 21 seemed more memorable! Though I spent my 21st in someone else’s country  30 was nothing special, 50 came and went without a whimper. 31 was bad because I was still in night school (undergraduate). I don’t really remember 40 except by then I was back in night school…again :?

57 is memorable simply because I’m happy, healthy and so is my family. A condition I credit to marrying well
