Where did I go wrong?
1 Attachment(s)
I tried to raise her right. I taught her the righteousness of REAC and the purity of push-rods but I have failed.
I came home early today and surprised Michele out in my shop. To my horror I found her finishing up Tony's motor. Alas! It is true. Michele's first motor was a heathen pinwheel juiced water-pumper! I should have known, how could I have been so blind? How was I fooled into believing that Tony was rebuilding his 944 turbo...Duh. Now I know why he needed my shop. It was to get the services of the Real talent in the house. He bought her mother off with chocolate and was paying Michele off with cheap cuddly stuffed toys. What can I do to help her and my family recover from this? Is an intervention in order? Please help...Before it is too late. |
ROFL.... :)

Kurt,
I can recommend someone who can give your family some "Water cooled counseling". |
The only consolation I can offer is that my baby (now 25) loves her Sentra and swears it’s the best  At least your daughter likes Porsches (OK, kind-of-like-a-Porsche)

The Truth
Now Truk. I happen to know that there were TWO water pumpers in your shop yesterday and one of them was mine! You should be proud! Think of 944's as upgrades since that green "Volkswagon" aka known as the "bug chaser of yours was there.
Michele is simply showing us, once again, that our children are smarter than we are! |
that's what happens when you give her a set of keys to the garage...
|
I'll bet when you caught her, she said it was the first time she ever did anything like that. She was just experimenting! Honest! And she didn't even like it -- her friends pressured her into doing it!

I for one think she is just demonstrating that she is wise beyond her years and regognizes what a true example of fine engineering the 951 is, albeit a pain in the ass to work on one as often pointed out by Dave R.
Just think what a piece of cake the 911 will be for her once she has mastered the 951! :D |
Michelle is gaining valuable experience on my engine, plus her little hands are very nice for tight little spots. OK, so she likes the more powerful and complex water cooled turbo engines. Just demonstrating good taste.
In any case, the pic that Kurt posted had nothing to do with my engine. Michelle was just looking at my pliers to see if they were the right tool to remove the nuts from the monkey  Its great to see Michelle so comfortable in the shop. She loves the place, and has a great time inspecting everything within reach. Nothing ever upsets her, and between Kurt and I working there are some fairly sharp noises at times. She is one of the happiest little girls around! |
