What is the name if this type of clamp?
It is crimped on the winshield washer tubing. I need to remove it to unblock my washer hose.

Throwaway.
Go to discount part store and find a tiny clamp for vacuum lines. |
You can stick an awl through the hole in the side and open up the clamp. When you fit the new part, recrimp the clamp.

I have a small set of craftsman pliers and one is perfect for the job. It looks like cutters except its the tip that cuts. They grab these clamps perfectly and all I do is rotate the one end off (am I blowing on this description or what). Just did a bunch on one of my Jettas (yeah, plural :? ).

Oetiker.
One nomeclature. Used also on steering rack boots, many CV boots. Stuff like that. Takes a special tool to really get them installed properly although you can make do. |
What is nice about this type of clamp is that there is some spring tension in it then when properly installed. When the hose cold flows and loosens some over time this type will snug up to the hose where the worm drive band clamps will not. A cheap set of flat face cutters (dikes) with the cutting edges blunted will set them tight.
