:shock: Is somebody have a great idea how to hook the child seat safety harnest in the speakerpanel

First off, welcome to the board! :D
You're going to have to do some drilling if you are talking about the top latch strap. The "sheet metal'' that forms the rear pacel shelf is not designed to take the tearing kind of stess an impact would exhert. You could use an eye bolt used for harness mounting, but you would need to reenforce the area around it. OG Racing has them for about $5. You may also want to remove the rear seatback on the side the car seat is going. Not a difficult or permanent modification. This will give the child more leg room. I also took out my rear seat belts and used eye bolts to atach the side latch straps to. The rear seat belts in my car (85 Carrera) were to long, and I couldn't get the seat in tight enough. I keep telling my wife that as soon as my son reaches one year and his car seat can be "turned around" to face forward, he's getting a ride in the 911... mmm no airbags to get in the way of his view as dad teaches him how to drift the car ;) And, of course, the obligatory "some day son, this will all be your's speach about the 911.. like he'd want a car 26 years older than himself!

How old do you have to be to get a ride in the IROC :wink:

I couldn't get a rear facing carseat to fit in the rear. I had to put it in the front seat. No major trips, just the dropoff at day care. Not to say bad things can't happen on a short trip as well. The front facing seat fits fine in the back. That said, My son Cole (2.5 yrs old) rides in the front seat. No airbags, no problem. I went as far as to call FF county police to check the legality of front seat baby seats, No issues on the books. The officer said even with airbags there are no laws on the books about children in car seats riding in the front seat. :shock:
The best part of having my son ride shotgun is the nasty looks I get from other dads in their minivans probably wondering how the hell I got to keep my toy while they're religated to the grocery getter. :lol:

4 u ... next year at the Jeff 500 laps for charity .... similar to JR offer. With a caveat ... you have to crew for the weekend. Awful stuff like tire pressures, infusing CAM2, adjusting JRZs, Motons, Konis, getting pyrometer temps, partaking in the lunch deli / cusine lunch my lovely SO will provide, etc... :wink: Have to enlist the other driver if we run more than 1 car at laps for charity. Then again, could get my bro Justin the "spin-meister" to be a driver. :shock:

Besides, your 2.7RS 210 hp screaming fury will easily power you into stardom if you put that eggplant on a diet and shave those RA-1s :lol: I know we have some spare lexan laying around ...

Ted - does you car have mounting points on the rear shelf for shoulder belts? I saw that mine did when I removed the rear deck to install the RS carpet kit. Do you think these points could be used?
