Thumbs Up To New Speed Series
 

After all this talk about Speed on the other thread I just wanted to give a thumbs up to a new series I caught last night ... "Behind The Headlights."

For those of you that remember the "Legends of Motorsport" series on the old Speedvision this new series picks up where that one left off. The good news is that BTH is 1 hour versus LOM which was only 30 minutes.

Each show profiles one automobile and last night they ran 3 episodes back-to-back from 8pm to 11pm. In order they were: Old Yeller (profile of the Max Balchowsky designed car which stuck it to the big boys back in the 50's), Spirit of America (Craig Breedlove's land speed record cars) and the Cobra (no need to reference Carrol Shelby here, right?).

The shows were very well done and each had great footage/interviews.

It will be interesting to see what other cars they profile but in the intro they clearly show a 550 spyder so I'm hoping there will be an upcoming show on that P-car.

Just my 2 cents but if you get the chance it's worth a view ...

Saw the Cobra show. It was worth watching. I'm glad there's still a token effort to satisfy folks like us :D that can turn left AND RIGHT.
