Dyno Video clip from this weekend
|
Cool video. I like how the engine cover closes at high revs - I guess for aerodynamics?
I was there super early 9:30 - 10:00. Sorry I missed all the Dorki runs. They were running a fellows BMW 540i when I was there. It was pretty cool to watch that big machine squat down and get going. It was also very loud. Louder than the Club Sport 964 that preceded it. I was surprised at this. Good event and nice hosting by Curry's. |
Cool video Justin! I vote your 914/6 the best Dorki ride. :)
|
Very cool, Justin. Did you take this with your digital camera? Mine can take a short MPG if I hold the shutter button down. The most exciting thing I've captured is the dog begging for a chin rub, though, so your clip takes the cake.

I'm sorry I didn't recognize you at Curry's. We met briefly at the recent HPDC. I was the person that recognized you as a frequent poster to this site. That was my car that preceded the 540. If my car wasn't louder, at least it put down more HP! Regards, Bruce Mackliet |

Welcome. I see you've really been a lurker since this is your first post! :) No problem on not recognizing me. I was having a helluva a time describing you to Charlie and Jason at the HPDC... (Me: "Who was the guy? I can't recall what he looked like" :) ) So was the 964 Club Sport fitted differently inside than the 996 CS cars? It looked like you had a full interior... |

My 964 is a Carrera Cup USA. It is one of the "conversion" cars and is a very original example. I've had it for about 4 weeks and so far the only mod I have found is 4 speakers installed by the previous owner...but there is no stereo in it. I've been in touch with Vu and will be seeing him when I decide to get a head unit. |
Bruce:
Welcome...! Let us know when you want to drop the 3.6L...? We can help and I have a good place to "keep it safe" for about ...hmmm .... one race season  Nothing wrong with lurking ... we all do it somewhere .... Jason |
