Fire extinguisher mounting

Is there a particular specification required of a fire extinguisher for Potomac's DEs? I recall that it was supposed to be mounted within in driver's seated reach. I bought this when I got the car (cheapo Auto Zone purchase) and finally mounted it for tommorow's HPDC. I drilled holes in the supplied bracket and mounted through the front screw holes on the tunnel cover - saving me from drilling holes in the metal (for now). I don't love it here so when I get around to moving it, I want to make sure I install the right one. Also, I know some of you all have the Brey Krause mounts (under the seat) - where can I get that?

metal-to-metal mounting, including metal (not plastic) mounting bracket for the fire extinguisher.

As a side note, I love it how they make us jam those huge trash cans into our garages. How many times have you ever needed a trash can that big?

Well this one already doesn't qualify as that's a plastic bracket. No specifics on size/type (A-B-C)?

How about a giant hose clamp!

You don't have to have an extinguisher for HPDC / DE, though it's highly recommended. With a plastic strap, they'll want you to remove the extinguisher from your car so that in an impact, the strap doesn't give and the bottle becomes a missile inside your car. I think for club racing, the requirement is Class AB, 2.5 lb minimum. Understand that I'm doing this from memory and my memory isn't always what it used to be. What were we talking about... :?

Well, I got the fancy shmancy Brey Krauss mount, but only have velcro straps holding the extinguisher to the mount. I bought the ext. at Fischer's in Springfiled, but they did not have one of those metal buckel/strap/mounts small enough for my ext. I need one like Steve's or to come up with some sort of quick-release hose clamp unit.

I purchased a metal bracket to hold the bottle to my Brey-Krause bar from Home Depot. I needed to tweak it slightly to work but it's very solid. I'm not sure what size bottle can be used with the H.D. bracket.

Well I was at OG to rent a helmet so I bought the BK mount...niiiice. I can't install tonight so hopefully I can leave in what I got for the HPDC. I would rather not take it out and have something happen to the car where I wish I had it. Last time I had to leave it on the sidelines and my car crapped out...coincidence??

When I take the seat out to mount it I might as well install new seats. I found some I like but for the pair it was like $2200 with all the trimmings.
