Vintage Anyone??
Some of you guys interested in vintage racing might like some of these pics of Pittsburgh Vintage Races. We had a little rain this year (two weekends ago), BMW's Mini was this year's marquie, and the rain didn't really slow racing down too much.

Keith:
Great pics. When are you going to sell one of your P-cars (the 996 water pumper one missing its roof) and get a 356 racer? You'd still have your street tub and that gorgeous Carera. I was seriously considering entering this race but had a few hurdles: 1. new child  2. car has to be built before 12-31-59 (does '62 count) 3. have to convert tub back to rear drum brakes 4. have to lose sponsor / commercial graphics 5. have to lose flashy paint 6. Have to unbox front control arms 7. have to un-modify front kingpins 8. have to lose "Z- bar" and use OEM camber truss (worthless) 9. have to buy bias ply vintage rubber (Dunlop L or R, Hoosier TD, Blue Streak, etc...) 10. No car may have a full cage (cut out front halo of my car...?) 11. new child  Actually, I learned that they created an extra classes for the minis and this one for non-VSCCA correct cars: "there are two groups for those with non-VSCCA eligible cars. The first, Group 4, is for under 2.2 liter production cars built between 1960-64." Probably would have found a way into that one. Jason |
