Where to find aircraft type heater hose?

I am replacing those worthless paper hoses and would like to use correst temp aircraft hose. I had an A & P friend who helped me do it in my '76 and I now want to be nice to the '82 w/o stealing parts off the '76 or paying the rediculous price pelican has. Any ideas locally? Or mail order?

I was just placing an order w/ McMaster Carr and noticed they have several versions of the silicon heater hose. Might be worth a shot.

Mark, they are an online source for hose fitting, pipes, and other interesting stuff. I have heard MC Master's shipping times are impressive.

Aircraft Spruce and Specialty. CAT, SCAT, CEET, SCEET. Minimum order 2 feet from this amazing catalog (2001). This stuff is in all sorts of ID's from 5/8" to 6" with lots of half sizes between. SCEET is good to 500°.

Prices are not that bad. Call them for a catalog.

Anyone know the size of the heater hose of any SC? I need to replace my heater hoses, I figured I would order it from MC Master. Can someone recommend a certain material that will last long? Is silicon a good replacement?

I know that temperature range would be a good place to start and would not reccomend anything less than 300F. I am still looking for an aircraft place. Prices are better and quality is guaranteed. The stuff on my '76 is fine and 11 years old to boot. I'll check on diameter.

Thanks Mark  , there has to be a place in Gaithersburg near the Airpark that should sell it. I'll comb the yellow pages tomorrow.

Pari, go to Montgomery Aviation at the Airpark at the end of Shady Grove RD and ask for John the parts man. Bring the old hose with you or stop by my place and I will measure it. Don't go google eyes at the bolts, nuts and screws on the wall. They are all american standard and won't fit. If you see a Vietnamese named Duc tell him I said Hello!

Any airport with little airplanes carries a good stock of the stuff. You know there is a airplane with a Porsche engine!

Not only a plane, but every time you see the goodyear blimp, listen to the motors. They are turbo charged Porsche, I believe 3.2, maybe 3.3 litre but basically street car parts.
