ST project update, ITS ALIVE!!
I forgot to post this here last night. I finally have the project running. After chasing down many problems it started almost effortlessly. It should have happened sooner but I had to move chasing a new job.
Too bad you guys couldn't be there in support. Details are here: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/showt...hreadid=169607 |
Awesome! Need more photos! Sound file?
|
I will have more photos soon. I need to get a few things sorted before its ready for a sound bite. Its still running a bit rough since the timing and carb balance has not been adjusted.
My wife told me to quit last night since it was loud and getting late. the good news is that it quit smoking but is still running rich. Once I tune the webers that will go away. I guess I have almost burned off all the oil from the cylinders. |
Great progress on your car, Jamie. Can't wait until you get some action pics from the track. I'm hoping you find your Bilstein seats worthwhile as I'm seriously considering them for the 73E.

Beautiful work, Jamie.
Hope things are going well for you in TX. |
Don't worry Jim. I assume I will have a seat installed in the next two weeks. I don't think a milk crate will work to hold me in place on the maiden voyage. If I was still closer I could let you try them while I still assemble the car. Its only a 26 hour drive. Bring Barney out and we can swap seats.
Tony, Things are going well here in TX. My job is starting to stablize on teh learning curve giving me time to work on the important things, like getting the car started. I have been lurking and watching the new car. Sounds like you are enjoying it at the track. I hope the be there in a few months with mine. I want it all sorted prior to its maiden track debut. Safety first! |
