Borrow time on your lift
Does anyone have a lift I can borrow to do a quick brake pad swap ahead of this weekend's Autocross. Last weekend's DE wore out my brakes.
Happy to repay your kindness in beer, ammo.....whatever! |
If it's just brake pads, those can be done with a jack and jackstands in your driveway. No lift required.
If you don't have a floor jack or jackstands, it might be time to invest in some tools. |
Also, if an eventual option, QuickJack is great for pads, wheels, adjusting sway bars. Less than 30 mins to raise car, change pads, and lower car, even when tired from a day at the track.
They don’t take up much room. I keep them squeezed together underneath my car when not using them. Just pull them to the edges of the car when I need them. |
How far you willing to drive? :) Have an open lift but not nearby.

Appreciate all the quick replies here! I got lucky and had someone call this afternoon -- so problem is solved.
Thanks to everyone who offered to help! |
Proper tools, especially if on sale, are still a good idea. ;)
