I just installed the Snapgap kit on my 85 911 3.2..wow this kit takes the guess work out of it..i was very easy to install. Brad at Snapgap was quick to ship and customer service was A1

Interesting, first I've heard of this. Thanks for sharing!

What does it do? I've seen a number of adjusting systems, but this looks like it replaces the nuts.
|
Yes you remove the locking nuts and replace them with the new style. Screw the adjuster all the way down and then lock the new nut onto the adjustment screw. Then loosen it back off and place a shim under it. Retighten the locking nut . The valve is now set to the proper gap..there is a video on YouTube..look them up and let me know your opinions on it.. it was so easy to install..

Interesting approach. Seems pretty complicated to me, but if you arent comfortable with a feeler gauge, and they can be a PITA in a 911, I get it. I know if I popped a valve cover and saw that I would be stumped.

Yeah ill keep it in the glove compartment....it took all the guess work out of it..check his video on YouTube and give your feedback

Santa bought me one for Christmas >> looking forward to my next oil change!!

Based on your comments and after viewing the videos, this looks like a good system.
Anybody installed this system on a race or track car? |
Nice..watched the video. Looks easy to set up.
