Where's Ted?
Update Ted!! Pics, movies, prose...something...

Ted's still here
Sam,
When it rains it pours! I'm in the process of reassembly. I got the crank and rods assembled today. I'll put the case halves together this week. My goal is to turn the key and hear the pipes by the end of April. On March 15th my wife broke her leg skiing in Wintergreen. She surprised me with a weekend of spring skiing for our 5th anniversary. We got there Friday night and she fell hard on Saturday after lunch. She had a tibial plateau fracture of her right knee with ACL damage. She had reconstructive surgery last Wednesday and things went fine. She'll be in a brace and on crutches for 6 weeks. Now here's the fun part. I have been taking care of our 2 year old son and her for the past three weeks and will continue for the next 6. I'm exhausted! To throw a little fuel on the fire, the night we got to Wintergreen we found out she is expecting. She'll be due on the 17th of November. :D Now ask me how hard it is to find an anestheseologist (sp) and an orthopedic surgeon who is willing to operate on a woman who is 7 weeks pregnant. We finally found a doctor who had done many proceedures on expecting mothers. So long story short. I've out of sight because I've been playing mom, cook, maid, physical therapist, taxi driver and mechanic when time permits. I do miss shooting my mouth off with you all. However, I do have someone covering for me for Hershey, so I'll be in the caravan. I'll post pictures of the rebuild progress soon. Ted |
Ted:
Geeze, what an overachiever  . I feel so bad Ted! I am glad that she is okay and what great news too about the new kidlet! I am so jealous! Well, my wife and I are going to Hershey's as well so at least we can talk smack up there...and you can hear the Fabspeed pipes...not as wicked as the B&B, but nice nonetheless. Tell your wife that we are all pulling for her and if there is ANYTHING you need (lawn mowed, car washed, house cleaned, etc) just yell and we will be there. Seriously. Nothing is too much to ask of the NoVA gang eh? Sam |
Hey Sam - I need my lawn fertilized and mowed. My wife's leg isn't broken, but if that's a prerequisite for free lawn work, well... let's just say there are benefits to an Italian-American heritage. :D

Chris:
Hey, permesso quella donna bella da solo. Faccia il vostro proprio lavoro. Ciao, Jason |
Yeeeaahhh, rriiiggghhhttt...

Sam,
Thank you for the offers of help, you're a good man. Her parents are close by and have totally come through for us. The only favor I ask is for a ride in the pass seat to listen to the pipes and get my fix. Case halves go together tomorrow. The pipes the pipes are calling! |
Ted:
I get back from Seattle on Monday...during that week I will make a point of stopping by (just let me know which day)... Sam |
Ted, I'm around to help with engine reassembly. I really do want to observe cam timing, so keep me in mind.
