Is Kurt's car really famous?
Kurt, I just found out that your car was used in the Spy Game Movie. Is that true. I do remember seeing that car in the movie but would not think in a million years that it would be someone local.

Car’s a celebrity, but more because of the current owner than being in the “movies”. It was one of 2 912s in the movie :!:

Funny the way it hapened. The producer turned up at our HPDC in early 2001, looking for a "Kelly Green 1968 911". She spoke to the group, and made a point of saying not to worry too much about the color, because they would have the right car painted the right color
Kurt was parked next to me in the paddock, and one thing led to another. He refused the offer because he did not want to loose the free track time  . After several people worked him over about the amount they were paying, and the coolness of having the car in the movie, he relented. The green machine, with the lexan aero bits removed but still sporting the 4 cylinder stinger exhaust, became a star. Kurt has answered to "Hollywood" ever since. |
That's awesome. Is there a Spy Game 2 coming out?

It was the fact that I had two students not the track time and I had heard that production company did not always treat cars well. Besides I had not talked $ with the production until after I was informed that my students had been reassigned. Good thing too as I would have felt badabandoning my students.
4 Porsches were used total some in the USA and some in the UK with all the Redford shots done in the UK. Mine was filmed for some of the DC outside shots. |
