F1 Season Opener This Weekend ??????

Any other F1 fans out there?

Somehow I've been completely sleeping on the fact that the season opens this weekend. Seems like just yesterday we were watching Michael the Great win another World Championship but I guess it is time to begin the quest again.

Here's to hoping it is a competitive season and it doesn't turn into a snorefest.

I'm a big fan, although not the most knowledgable. Glad the race is sat. night for us, I'm leaving for a trip sunday. The new rule changes should make qualifying interesting to say the least. I'm a fan of team red, but always like some drama. My fingers are crossed.

Caught some of the practise last night. It was a blast to see the F1 hardware running again, especially on the very roads I know so well! Plenty of excursions - seems many drivers were pushing hard, and some were overcooking it.

The red cars were almost two seconds ahead of the rest. Less then a second between the other 8 in the top 10. Nothing like budget to get your new chassis sorted

Qualifying should be interesting.

I'm an F1 nut. OK, I admit it...I'm just a nut. Anyway,I'm soooo glad to see the season begin. Now if only the football season would get underway...

Anybody watch this snoozefest in its entirity?

Here's my recommendation to make the season interesting ... King Bernie needs to pay Ferrari to sit out a couple of races (say three ???) so the other teams have a chance to build a points lead and then let the Scuderia have a run at them.

I raced home from a dinner to find the procession already in progress. The performance delta between the red cars and the rest of the field is greater than it has been in the last five seasons! So much for Bernies rule wrangling! It also looks like Bridgestone has finally produced a Ferrari tire that works.

Anyone know what caused Webber to drive the Jag into the garage? He was charging one minute, parking the next??

Looks like a bloody boring season if this race is any guide.

I hate to say it but forget F1. Red car $$$, the rich get richer. Make the winners add 100LB for each win. Did anyone catch the Rolex race at Homestead? That was some U.F.B. footage!

Note to self: Get a Tivo like Kurts - immediately, before you miss any more good stuff

1. Complete boredom and utter frustration knowing that the $$$$ red cars will win again.

2. He was looking for M-pipes who was talking all the smack in the garage earlier in the morning...
