Rear valence support
Not sure how the rear valence support of my 87 turbolook broke, but I was wondering where I can get a replacement one.
Anyone got one laying around? Can this be rewelded? http://www.dorkiphus.com/porsche/mod...cket.sized.jpg |
Vu,
If you can't find one locally, give dc automotive a call. They've never let me down with obscure requests. 1-(800)- 579-2410 Ted |
That is a 2 second weld. I will be in the shop on Sat and can zap it up no problem. Call and let me know if you are stopping by. It looks like ether it was hit or it was subject to vvvibraaaaation or both. I can add a little extra metal to help it survive.

Guys:
Remember to disconnec the DME / ECU when welding on a "kompooter" equipped car. :D Jase |
Just to be safe and easier for welding, I may just remove the bracket from the car.
Thanks for the heads up Jase :) |
Thanks for the reminder on the Konfuzder. Don't want to kill the majik box. I was planning to remove weld and paint then reinstall.
The Taj will be open from 8:00 a.m. till 12:30 p.m. on Sat. We have a 2L T4 motor tear down and a splitter build for a 914 3.2 planned. I think Bill's Yellow Fellow will be back from paint as well. If that is the case then elec and a dash are in the works as well. Who gonna bring the donuts? I'll supply the coffee. |
I'll be there at 8:00 with donuts to offer to the Taj :)

Just wanted to drop a quick "thanks" to Kurt for taking care of the support/bracket. He repaired it in no time...
As usual, I also learned a little at the Taj. |
