recommendation for front (&rear) brake pads

ok, i've done all the searches about recommendations for front brake pads for an '83 911SC. lots of different opinions... so, what pad would a dorki recommend for a 99% street SC, maybe HPDC? very interested in low dust production as important criteria, no squeal, ...

Low dust, no squeal? You must be joking :D

Metal Masters are a great upgrade from stock pads for street adn [very] light track use. They meet your criteria, and are rotor-friendly. Get them at Pelican Parts, Vertex, and other on-line vendors.

I have a set of rear pads I got from Pelican last week that I did not use. Like the little birdie said, cheep, cheep, cheep. Aso a set of 50% front pads you can have to get you on the road and until you decide what you want. They were ordered for my 79SC but ought to work fine.

thanks for the offer. i'm trying to figure out which ones to order. by the way, "no brakes" is the reason i didn't make it to your place on sat :(

Like Tony already said, Axxis Metal Masters are an excellent street pad. I use them on my '84 911 and they are quiet and produce very little dust.

I got mine at Vertex...about $30 per axle.

Wow, I use Axxis Metal Masters on my Talon, and they dust far worse than any other pads I have seen/ used! The Pagid Oranges on my 911 are much less dusty, although I wouldn't recommend them unless you are going to the track on a semi-regular basis. That first stop in the morning is always an eye-opener

Ferodos are pretty quiet.
