Jack stands - good deal??
 

I looked at the site for the jack lift and thought about adding a set of jack stands...Does this look like a good deal??? $24.99 for 6 ton stands

Nice stands & good price. Remember at 15+” at their lowest, most smaller jacks w/be nearly fully extended just to get them under the car. A relatively inexpensive high lift jack (21”) is available from Wal-Mart & others. Of course the HF Aluminum jack just dipped below $100!

6 tons = 12000 pounds! You need to get that car on a diet.

The 3 ton set might be better suited to P car type use and will still hold up a SUV.

The 3-ton ones look awful "puny" under a Suburban (or like SUV) M-Pipes and I were at HF and I got my 6-ton stands there. They are decent quality and they work well on larger things (SUV, Trailer, etc...). Actually, we used them at M-Pipes engine drop and they worked out fine.
