Splittin' the case (for real this time)
If any one wants to get a glimp of the inside of an engine case, feel free to come by Saturday morning.
I managed get the stud out with a combo of heat and pressure. However, I damaged the cylinder base seating surface on #4 and #6. So the seats will have to be planed. I hate freakin head studs! :x I plan on getting started at about 10 a.m. I'll be posting pictures in the gallery. Ted |
I may end up stopping by. I will be in Spencerville, MD for the Volvo to be chipped. I may swing by after that to get my Porsche fix! I'll have to check your original post for directions.

Speedtuning. I've heard good things about them, soooo we shall soon see!

A couple of the NOVA people on volvospeed.com used them and seemed pretty happy. What kind of Volvo do you have?

Reply under Misc section, so we don't steal any more of Ted's thunder!

It was nice to stop by Ted's to see the innerds of a 911 engine. With all the NoVA engine drops we've had, the closed I've come to seeing a 911 engine teardown was when I stripped our 2.4E engine down to the long block. It's pretty cool inside the crankcase. Now if we can just restrain Ted from performance mods while he's in there. He's already scarey. |
