WTB: Euro 3.2 Carrera coupe

hi everybody

Looking for a Euro spec 3.2 coupe, in red exterior with black interior. Prefer a car that is not restored/modified. Any condition considered, but I prefer a nice car with no major needs.

thanks
john

Hi John,

Speaking as a euro 3.2 owner and having just researched them heavily for comps, you are likely going to have a tremendous amount of difficulty locating one that is so specific on color. I have only seen a few sell over the past year (on ebay, pelican, etc), more than half of which were targas & cabs, and none were red. May have to expand your preferences, or go with a north american model. BTW, if you are interested in black/black, mine is up on Bring a Trailer auctions.

This fits most of your desires.

Saw the car in person when I stopped by for some other parts and it looks great. Not a 3.2, but a 3.0 with Webbers is a pretty hot engine.

There is a local red one (not sure who the current owner is, but is a Dorki). Of course, I doubt it's currently for sale...

yes they are certainly difficult to find, having looked in the past, but this is not a must-have-or-else purchase so i can wait...and wait :)

thanks for the lead, but i'm done with carbed cars and prefer the later, more useable 3.2 injected motors.

If you have time on your side, should not be too big an issue. Stalk pelican and ebay and note that most listings I saw did a poor job of identifying them as RoW or Euro. You can do a "zzz" search hoping they list the vin, or just look for the side markers in preview images. About 1/3 of the listings I saw did not note the car as being euro at all.

that is exactly what i do, look for the side markers. some cars have been repainted and the side marker is not replaced, i almost have to click on most of the carrera listings to be sure. i also have a WTB on pelican, and cruise thru ebay and pelican weekly.

I like that you a r e willing to spend the time for the center bull desire car. In the mean time you could slap a 3.6 in a clean SC or so tub. Best air cooled street motor Porsche ever built in a light nimble tub. All the plus of a 3.2 managed injection motor but Would eat a hard to find d and expensive Euro for lunch and leave leftovers.
