Bilstein Rebuilder

Last year I purchased a set of four used PSS9's. While the guy I purchased them from said they were fine when he removed them for an upgrade (he's a PCA instructor as well) I figured it would be best to just have them overhauled before installing them on the car. Does anyone know someone or a shop locally that will rebuild them? Shipping them accross the country to Bilstein seems a little extreme. I'd also be willing to try doing them myself but would need the help of someone who knows what they are doing.

Have not heard about getting them rebuilt locally. Shipping them to Bilstein is SOP.

You might check with At Speed. They used to do them.

Steve Weiner at Rennsport systems.

I thought the rebuilders sent them to bilstein with a secret forumla for valving. Is this internet lore?

no, not lore.

Steve Wiener has special settings based on the car, weight, springs. Then he sends them to Bilstein to rebuild based on his settings (this is basically what Matt is saying -- too many "T's"?)

^ ^^ What they said. IIRC Intersport offers this service too.
Best get going on this as 4-5 weeks is considered "express handling"
