Engine Drop / Tranny Problems
 

Hey Guys~
Proving that every time I try to bring my car out to a Dorkiphus event it fails me.. Today I stop for gas before getting on 66 to go to Kurt's place. I fill the tank up and get ready to pull out of the gas station, I start moving, I push the clutch to go from 1st to 2nd, I hear a clunk and the car falls out of gear. I stop and try to engage the car into gear, it will go into gear (and still goes through the shift pattern) but the power is not being transferred from the engine. I suspect a clutch problem.

Anyway, I would like to drop the engine / trans out of the car next weekend. I'll buy the beer and BBQ, and I could use all of the help I can get. I'll be doing it in Great Falls (1 mile from Marc's place).

Sorry my last post was a little vague, I was still in shock about the whole experience :shock: Let's do it on Saturday morning at 10:00 (PCA Crab Fest is Sunday)

Get on Route 7 heading to Sterling
Turn Right on Georgetown Pike (at Mobil Station)
Immediate left onto Senica road

As far as what I need, I would like to get my hands on the ATV / Tranny jack combo that we use at all of the engine drop's if it is free. I could also benefit from having an extra floor jack or two. I have a socket set and a set of combination wrenches, however if anyone wants to bring some tools that would also be great! I am going to have access to a station wagon from Thursday night onward, so I can pick up stuff, and I will be able to drop them off on Saturday after the drop.

As far as food goes I was going to do grilled chicken, sausage, and some kind of salad. Anyone have any special requests?

You are welcome to the ATV jack. I might be able to stop by in the AM for a while. I will know later in the week if not I will pm you some directions to the house. Pulling a trans from a 914 should take about 30 min or so.
