Paying $30k+ for a 3.2 ok?
Happy New Year everyone.
I'm back in the market for a 3.2 911 and I'm amazed at the asking prices (some nearing $40k). My budget is $30k and it's slim pickings. It seems the collectors and speculators now control the air cooled market. Should I keep looking and hope I get lucky, or should I move on to 996/997? |
Asking price and selling price often are not the same thing. Have you gotten serious enough about any of the cars to discuss a real sales price yet? $30k still goes a long way for a 3.2 unless you are looking for one that is showroom condition.

I literally just started looking last night. I have checked autotrader, cars.com, and Hemmings but I totally forgot about Craigslist.
I'll check out these local listings. Thank you. |
I saw Charlie at Intersport just finished building a early/ mid 80s Carrera white targa with tranny and motor rebuild. Looks pretty clean when I walked by and he was warming it up the other day. I think the interior was maroon. I recalled hearing under $30k but it is a targa fwiw.
