Chip removal?

All,

Anyone dared try removing paint chips from the nose of their car using touchup paint, super-fine sandpaper, then polish method, or have any before/after pics to show for it?

Would like to perform some micro surgery without re-spray, but can't seem to work up the nerve...

I've done this more than once and the outcome doesn't look that all bad. It hides the paint chips very well if the touch up job is done with finess. Let me know you need assistance when you want to do the touch up, maybe I can help.

Yeah, Those are the instructions I was considering trying. I just have a hard time working up the nerve.

My bonnet is perfect but for two or three small chips. If I ruined it, I'd kick myself, but then to have it perfect again would be great.

I don't have any other chips to practice with other than right there in the front on the bonnet.

Any after pics you might have? I may take you up on that offer. Are you far from Leesburg?

Keith,

I can give you my sandblasted side mirrors to practice on. They really can't get any worse. You get the practice and I, possibly, will get better looking mirrors in return. I'm serious......I already have a quart of Dupont Rosewood. :P

I'll try it. Are you going to the picnic/concours on Sunday? If so can you bring 'em? I'll PM you with my cell number so you can reach me when you arrive.

Keith,

I wont be able to make it on Sunday. I will be in The Plains VA late Sat. afternoon to pick up some tools. If you are somewhere in the vacinity, or can direct me via some nice back roads to your place, I can drop them off on my way back.
