I'd like to learn how to do a valve adjustment and replace my oil return tubes . I would also like to lower my ride to Euro specs (maybe even slightly lower).

Can anyone give me a hand?

Valve adjustment is no problem. I haven't done oil return tubes, though I think it's pretty easy. Lowering is something I'm not good at! Wher were you planning this?

I'm in Columbia, MD (about 40 minutes from Tysons Corner), but would be willing to take my car to any location. But I do remember Marc A saying that I should drain the oil the night before so that the motor is cool when we work on it.

Hmmmmm I know I probably live kinda far out for some of you VA guys, but I make some mean chicken and ribs. :) Of course we'll have something refreshing to wash it all down too.

How is your garage stocked for tools?? Oil return tubes could require BIG channel locks, vice grips or the like, hose clamps, assortment of screwdrivers (I thinking of the worst case here). Need silglyd silicon lube.

I have the valve adj. tools.

Lowering could be a huge project, depending on what needs to be done. More likely than not the bushing need to be replaced (front and rear) although if there is any adjustment left in the spring plates that would be an easy job, however it would only yield a small amount of lowering.

Let's look at the next (not this) couple of Saturdays, when you might be able to drive down on a Friday and leave the car overnight, when we could have at it on Sat.

I just know that if we don't have the right tools it could be a nightmare running back and forth to the closest Lowes or Home Depo.

I have an adequate stock of tools(everything you listed), but since you've done it before, you probably have all the tools we'll need.

Saturday July 19th?. I could drop my car off the Friday night before.

I'll be sure to marinate the meat at least two days in advance :)

Vu, do you have an air compressor and tools? It will make a difference having one for your suspension project.

Marinate the meat and cool the engine for a few days. Another garage and grille story!

You may want to take a look at removing the cat shield and pre-soaking those exhaust bolts, as you'll likely have to remove your cat to get to the lower left valve cover. That means you should get a few new gaskets and bolts too. We spent a good 4-6 hrs. on this alone with my car.
